Following graduation from the garden training program families are provided with a starter kit and the opportunity to become self-sustainable by growing their own garden. The kit includes fertile soil, compost, seeds and irrigation materials as well as garden tools to care for the garden and guidance from a horticulturist from the training program.
In this way families grow their own nutritious food for consumption and also to sell in the market. The families agree to participate in a program to help other families to grow gardens and in this way the program becomes transferrable as well as self-sustainable.
